The Legendary Pink Dots - The Maria Dimension 25th anniv 5xLP box.

Beta-Lactam Ring Records only got 30 copies in their US distro. Hopefully, my preorder submission made the cut.

Just got back from trading in some CDs for records.

Camel - The Snow Goose
Room 237 soundtrack (doc about The Shining; great vintage synth John Carpenter worship)
Mondo Cane 1 & 2 soundtracks
Slowdive - Hide Yer Eyes (boot of their 'lost' final album)
Goat - Commune
an early Bee Gee's anthology

Some good scores in here. Love Camel, specifically The Snow Goose. My deceased rabbit was a huge Camel fan (he liked prog rock in general....)

I'll post my own recent scores in the near future, once I figure out how to use the camera on my phone.

Preordered the Mondo Drag LP, the Child LP, and the Sandrider/Kinski split LP . Bought a Legendary Pink Dots 7", some various Bandcamp downloads, and tickets to Yob, Elder, and Iron Man shows coming up in March. Oh, and that RWAKE reissue, Xenoglossalgia.

Elder record is killer. Grabbed one at the show last week.

I preordered Dorthia (Windhand) Cottrell's solo album from Forcefield Recs. It's just her powerful and sultry voice with her acoustic and some tasteful pedal steel guitar. Reminds me in spirit of US Christmas/Nate Hall, Appalachia murder ballad stuff. With all of the heavy-does-acoustic albums happening lately, hers is definitely worthwhile. That said, I bought a ticket to see her and Nate play here in May.

The lovely Ms bought us Tame Impala tickets.

I picked up a Tascam digital 8 track recorder for laying down basic ideas and sending them to friends for collaborative projects. Nothing like hearing your own recorded guitar parts for tearing apart your playing technique.

Also picked up that Warhorse reissue and a handful of Mos Generator stuff from Bandcamp. I never took issue with the sound on their Small Stone release of 'Songs For Future Gods', but I noticed the band's HeavyHead store is carrying a $5 CD-R remastered version of it.

Lately I've been collecting rare longbox CD's,even some that are sealed. Pictured here is my Nirvana-Incesticide CD in Longbox format..

Image

A few other longbox CD"s I bought lately are Deeelite's second album and Prince's Diamond and Pearls album!

I would so kill to get a KYUSS longbox.Seen a White Zombie one recently too, but it went for 50 bucks on ebay.

Imo, the record industry should've never phased the longbox out. They make CD's feel more complete and cooler, and I love the extra artwork. I kinda feel if they weren't gotten rid of, the music industry would be alot better today actually. I guess some people are dumb to throw these away. Might as well phase out cereal boxes and just sell them in plastic bags if their point was right.

Also my friend Bruno who used to play bass in Flipper is sending me a CD of his new band Virgo Supercluster. So I'm looking forward to that.

LP on the far left. Original Irish pressing. One of the most lovely trad/acid folk albums i've ever heard. Still unavail on CD. Grabbed a VG++ play graded copy on ebay for 1/4 what i expected to have to pay.

Building up the LP selection. This is pretty much everything I've bought and/or had arrive in the last two weeks. Still waiting on an order from Robotic Empire and two from Amazon to show up.

This version has a bonus 4 track ep included. His best stuff yet, me thinks. Sounds/production incredible.
