Wow. That might get me out of the house. Thanks for the updates per usual, Mr. Red.

Slabtown announced they're closing after 11/1/14. Bummer! My neighborhood venue! The watering down of Portland continues...

Checking out the Bossanova website, discovered they have 4 18" subwoofers under the stage and actually bothered to list the in-house PA specs. That alone is enough to get my lazy ass to check it out from curiosity alone. IIRC, it is one of the better sounding rooms in P-town.

2/6 Crystal Ballroom - SLEEP

Thanks for the heads up; will go get tix tomorrow.

EDIT TO ADD: I *slept* on it last Friday, but picked them up today, Monday. Thankfully, was not sold out.
p.s. Corrections House gig rumored for Dec. 20 at Rotture. Doesn't appear on Rotture site, but so it says on Corrections House facebook page. Any confirmation with all your leads?

Regarding Corrections House, Soundcontrol PDX is on it. https://www.facebook.com/soundcontrolpdx/events

I'm loving how Karma to Burn decided to have their tour stop here the same day as Sleep.

There are three awesome shows next week that aren't on the list:

12/2 Holocene - Deafheaven, Lesbian, Usnea
12/3 Rotture - Black Cobra, Wolvhammer, Hungers, U SCO
12/5 Alleyway - Honduran, Tiny Knives, Hungers

Yeah, along with the Corrections House gig, impromptu shows is the word of the day for December. That Deafheaven/Lesbian show is actually being sponsored/funded by Red Bull. Advance tickets are only $3.00. I'll get the whole list updated later this week. Probably Thanksgiving Day, as I don't have any holiday plans this year. I already looked all around and there is barely anything happening this upcoming weekend after the Lord Dying show on Wednesday at Ash Street.

I didn't realize that K2B show is the same night as SLEEP. Bummer. Seeing those guys (K2B) hasn't lined up for me ever since they reformed. I guess Rich isn't in the band any more though, so it kind of doesn't even feel like the same band to me.

Thank you --their page lead me to a link where I bought a ticket.

Updated. The list shortened by quite a bit as it tends to do this time of the year. Pick your spots well.

I'm pretty stoked Incantation is making their way out here. It's funny that The Dwarves are playing the Sandy Hut. Only 150 pre-sale tickets are being sold for that.

3/9 Doug Fir - Swervedriver
^Oh, shit. I hear the show is fuckin' EPIC and double ear plugs a must. In the best room in town too? Oh, shit.

A couple of notable shows added since the end of last week:

1/9 White Owl - Pig Destroyer, Atriarch
1/31 Rotture - Black Witchery, Weregoat, Warpvomit, Swarming Darkness

I can't believe Black Fuckin' Witchery is coming here!!! One more off thee bucket list!

The Electric Wizard show here sold out today, as did their show in Seattle. Apparently tickets are going for $249 on Stubhub/ebay. If this is the case, I imagine my ticket will be going up there as well. I fucking hate that venue when it's sold out.

Wow. Maybe Ewiz'll want a venue change? Add a show? Crazy. I'd like to see them again, but not gonna pay over the odds to do it.

Updated.

Both FNM and RUSH tickets went on sale Friday, which set me back a bundle. I'll probably scalp my E-Wiz tickey to offset that damage...

Updated. Stumpfest 2015 announced, with one mystery band left (4/25), but the big news here is UFOMAMMUT is coming to town!
