That Graves At Sea album is awesome. So is their split with Sourvein.

Biggest night of the year for me last night:

Danzig - s/t (only owned the cassette since 1988, when it came out)
Impetuous Ritual - Unholy Congregation of Hypocritical Ambivalence (great title!)
Mismal - Cursed Redeemer
Woven Hand - the new one, that I can't name due to the tiny type used on artwork
EYEHATEGOD - s/t

I also bought the new Agalloch at their gig last weekend and got new Swans in the mail, so I'm kind of overwhelmed with new tunes at the moment!

Another Polk Audio PSW10 Reference series powered subwoofer. Decided to go with a pair for my home theater set-up. 2 channel/stereo RCA line level inputs, adjustable lowpass/XO'er point and volume control. Really nice lil 10" sub for the price point. A popular item in my place. I have 3 of 'em now. Possible 4th to replace the older Klipsch 12" sub i'm not that happy with in my bedroom set-up. Audio. It never ends! And it's great fun.

Spirit Caravan's Jug Fulla Sun on (FINALLY!) wax. One of my all-time favorite albums, and I've been waiting 15 years for this. According to the Exile On Mainstream Records site, "No remastering has been done to the original tracks but frequencies have been adjusted to fit a vinyl release." It sounds awesomely awesome.

Hey Koko, I'm going to be in Columbus this Saturday to pick up my wife at the airport. Where can I track down some EYE stuff? Isn't there a 7" out, maybe a live thing out too?
thanks

Definitely hit Lost Weekend Records on N High St at Crestview Rd, about 6 blocks north of the Ravari Room. They'll have the 7" for sure as the shop owner, Kyle, released that on his own label. He'd be most likely have whatever else is out, too, like the Live At Relay 12" or the Second Sight CD.

Marantz CD Player CD6005

Very lush and musical Rega Apollo-esque playback w/o the clunky top loading tray, occ. tracking issues or Rega price point. Got it paired with my Sansui 990DB. Very pleased so far.

I sent ATiH some money for Eagle Twin's The Feather Tipped... and Norska's self -titled, both on black wax. Everywhere else seems to be sold out of the black version of both albums.

black black blackity black

speaking of...

Has anyone else checked out the new band from Disengage's singer?

Got a bunch of new LP's in the past couple weeks:

R.E.M. - Document
R.E.M. - Green
Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary (remastered LP, sounds pretty good)
Low - The Great Destroyer (got the 2xLP for $12 new!!!)
Sharon Van Etten - Are We There? (I've been looking for this vinyl for awhile, such an awesome album)
Temples - Sun Structures (several people had highly recommended this to me, and I am not disappointed)

Got the reissue of Corrosion Of Conformity - Eye For An Eye on red wax this afternoon. It sounds pretty good.
