Nine Treasures - Arvan Ald Guulin Honshoor Chinese/Mongolian folk metal. I don't like that Scandinavian folk metal at all, but these guys tickled my fancy last Friday.

One guy played the Balalaika of his grandfather (thing looked really old!!) and another guy played some kind of Mongolian 'cello'. Quite thick strings. Unlike most Chinese bands, the singer spoke quite some English between songs. On the record they also have Metallica's 'For Whom the Bell Tolls'.

Traded a bunch of Unearthly Trance and Nachtmystium vinyl for The Dream - Get Dreamy LP and the Baby Grandmothers vinyl. Two of my favorite old psych albums, and I only had burns before. These are sweet releases, nice packaging and vinyl, both imports. Stoked.

That was either Rasputin or Amoeba for under $10. You can really score there.

Ezra, is that Slough Feg a 2011 live recording? I soooo wanted to see them that tour, but the fucktards never took my offer to help them find a venue nearby. Any good? Seems difficult to sing like that live.

Yob, it is indeed a live album from the 2011 tour. It's great , but not perfect. the liner notes mention that Scalzi had a cold that day and you can occasionally hear it in his voice, mainly in the first half of the show.

Nevertheless it's a great show and a great recording and well worth getting imo. The vinyl is also very well made.
