I am thinking about getting one of these for the home practice situation... And some possible recording studio action... Any thoughts or suggestions?

I personally reccommend getting a marshall class 5 combo for home and recording use. I think they sound better and they are considerably cheaper. My Opinion of course. I had the Tiny terror head a few years back and it didn't grab me like i had hoped,

I have never been a fan of the Pignose Woody.

Not sure about the combo but a guy I play with uses a TT head through a 412 loaded w/Celestion V30s and it's ripping.
Cleans up beautifully with the volume knob o/t guitar.
It takes pedals really well.

I used to have the TT head- played it through a Sunn 1x15. Some of the best tones I've ever achieved. Find a used one for $350, and you'll be stoked. Good luck!

My Tiny Terror combo arrived today... My wife was far from impressed with yet another piece of gear entering the house, but I must say, it is a sweet little unit... with giant balls too. I am stoked to use it for recording next month too... And, it was heavier then i thought it would be.

yeah can't go wrong with a Tiny Terror although I struggled to get as good a sound through the combo as I did running the head through a single orange 112 box. Maybe it was just me though.

I used to have a class 5 but I had to ditch it. Those things have a major design flaw that causes the valves to rattle whenever the volume is up above around 10 o'clock. And forget about trying to run a fuzz pedal through it. Apparently they have fixed this in the newer models though. I bought mine around a year and a half ago

My current bedroom rig is a Dark Terror through a vox night train 112 cab. The Dark Terror is an awesome little head but the Tiny Terror definitely has a sweeter clean sound. I'd love to get one of those Hand Wired Tiny Terrors. They sound killer and I'm pretty sure Clutch used one on the Strange Cousins album

I have a first run tt for a practice amp. I play it through a shitty epiphone 1x12 (think it was the cab for the blues jr?) that has a pretty decent eminence speaker in it. Thing sounds bad ass, and can keep up with drums for sure. If you crank the gain it gets a bit fizzy, I usually back the gain down and run a rat or fuzz in front. Good little amp, especially used right now, can be had for cheap. Go for it.

Yes, i am digging it. It is a fun little practice amp, and it will come in very handy in the studio on both the clean and dirty settings too.

Tried one of these out yesterday and really liked it. Does it have an FX loop? Forgot to check.

The TT head does not have an effects loop.

The TT sounds way better with a 2x12, Ham - more bottomend. I used it on the 15w setting on my band's new album.

The Dark Terror has an FX loop I think, but I'm in the market for another toaster amp, I'm going to go with the Blackstar HT5. It has a great modded marshall sound to it, and will complement the tiny terror brilliantly in both rehearsals (with two guitarists) and on record.

Dark Terror is too close to the TT and I can achieve that kind of gain with a boost pedal in front of my TT now.

Been there! It's awesome and is perfect for small clubs too. 2x12 strikes a nice balance to me - I can use it to record, and it works well at rehearsals too. A bit more portable than a 4x12 is. It's probably good to have both for different cases.
