This album was produced by Tony Iommi. Lately I've been listening to it and really liking it. The songs 'Mainline Riders' and 'Devil's Brew' are my faves so far. Sounds very Sabbathy, good vocals and interesting riffs that make me think of the NWOBHM. The bassline in 'Mainline Riders' sounds alot like the bass in 'Heaven and Hell' (hmmm you think Geezer kinda ripped it off?). Ozzy even does backup vocals on 'Sugar Rain'.

Anyone else dig this one? :)

Falling on deaf ears in this forum.
I knew Iommi produced Necromandus, but I didn't know he was involved with Quartz. I'll have to check them out again.

I remember seeing a Wino recommended listening list a long time ago (maybe on sr.com) and him giving them props.

I dig it. Geoff Nicholls, who was the guitarist in Quartz wrote the bassline to "Heaven and Hell". He was the acting bass player when Dio and Iommi initially hooked up in LA. Geezer was apparently on the fence whether he wanted to relaunch Sabbath or do some other project. In the Decibel Hall of Fame article for that album, Geezer credits Nicholls for the bassline, and that he would have been unable to write a bassline that simple during that timeframe.
