Painful to admit that I know almost nothing of their discography.

It finally clicked though :)

What albums should I be seeking out?

Something in between Alex Lifeson and Wishbone Ash.

Huge early Scorps fan, they are my favorite metal band after Priest.

If you're digging on Lonesome Crow, that's cool, though they quickly deviate from that sound.

Fly To The Rainbow is kind of a transitional album, though well worth owning. They're kinda finding their own after Lonesome Crow, and it shows at times.

My favorite is In Trance. That's where they really solidify their sound, and it's just a great listen. In my book, they never topped that and never will. Few bands ever will.

My next favorite album by them is Taken By Force, though LC is right - you can't go wrong with anything up to Blackout. That's where I basically check out.

Fly to the Rainbow was one of the first albums I purchased as a kid (early 80's). I didn't appreciate it then but grew to realize how fucking godly it is. A top 10 album of all time for me. To me the true Scorpions ended after Love at First Sting. Anyhow, you can't go wrong with anything that has Uli on it, as well as Lonesome Crow.

Thanks for introducing me to Lonesome Crow! I've been meaning to check it out all these years, but never got around to it. I actually played that song as a closer on my last radio show.

I had no idea they were this good!!! I'm used to their boring hits like 'Rock You Like a Hurricane',but whoa their first few albums are actually up there with Zeppelin's earlier studio albums, maybe they're even a little better imo. I do love Fly to the Rainbow as well.

What those guys said.

I'm still pissed my buddy Mark left my copy of Lovedrive at his ex girlfriends apartment four or five years ago. But at least it got some proper usage.

I must be the only girl on these forums FYI. Just to let you know I don't like the Scorpions as much as I like Budgie actually.... Their lead vocalist is the only one who bothers me. Always sounded like a weak Dio imo.
