Don't care what some people say, this album rules. Has a weird ending ,but side A is one of the best things they've recorded. The guitar solo in Junior's Eyes is soo rad.

Just gave this album a real good chance for the first time. I never liked the drum/bass/wah opening from 'Junior's Eyes' before, but I let the song progress...

Wow! that Iommi riff seems more direct and soulful (less trills and flurried notes) than anything on previous albums. It's actually one of my new favorite Sabbath tracks (may have something to do with blazing again for the first time in twenty years).

The song was actually originally written with Dave Walker(Savoy Brown) on vocals, and has a different intro...

Ozzy sung it way better though. The live version of Shock Wave isn't bad either...

I love this album...love the production! I don't think Ozzy's voice ever sounded stronger? "A Hard Road" is one of my favorite Sab songs. Agree that there's a bit of a lull on Side B, but "Swinging The Chain" is a decent finish. NSD may be the best Sab album opener, aside from "Wheels Of Confusion"...hard hitting, to the point, great, power chord riff!

I often forget that I have this album, even as familiar I am with the first six albums. I was walking downtown a couple months ago and something came on my ipod that made me stop and say "what the hell is this?"

It was "Junior's Eyes". Pretty good track, if a little strange.

Apparently they were all freezing their tits off during the recording sessions in Canuck somewheres....

Sadly I never got to see Sabbath live ever :( so pissed I missed them, but at least I got to meet Ozzy two times and interview Bill Ward once.

Crazy that this album was recorded in below zero temperatures, but the one previous Technical Ecstasy was recorded in tropical weather. I like both albums despite the bad criticism.
