Just got this one on 8-track. Very rare!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the album,it's one of my all-time favorites. They had a song called 'Black Sabbath' before the band Black Sabbath put their's out.

The vinyl is very expensive but worth seeking out.

Original gangster 8-track!?! Far Out, poisin ivy. I just have the remastered NEVOC 13 CD re-issue. Came signed by Jinx & with a super cool COVEN patch! \m/
All the retro "Occult Rock" with female vox that's so popular with the hipsters need look no further for the source. "White Witch of Rose Hall" is my fave track. All good.

The 8-track tape actually sounds really good. Nice and clear, with lots of bass which adds to the heaviness. People that say this one isn't Heavy are dumb. This is actually sorta scarier than the first Black Sabbath album. Isn't as influential but imo it's way more scary.

I'd dig gettin' blunted and hearing this on 8-track. Talk about setting the controls for the heart of Warp5 back to the future....
8-tracks may be a bit wonky, but they are 100% analogue, baby!! :)

This 8-track cartridge is definitely legit! \m/ \m/

As for them being "wonky",it depends... Some play great and some don't. Depends on how well taken care of they were back in the day. I think they get alot of undeserved hate. I mean every audio format has their flaws. Give me a wonky sounding 8-track over a super scratched digital CD anyday! The 8-track of this album actually sounds better than the one posted on Youtube.

My 8-track player is also really good and since I bought it in 2008 never gave me any problems. Here are both of my Coven 8-tracks together!

Shit's tight, p-ivy! 2008? So are 8-track players back in production?!? Or did you buy vintage/refurbed? I've been thinkin' about making another addition to the stereos and having an 8-track player would be alot of fun. I come across 8-tracks in the GW bins fairly often. Loads on ebay too.
Please advise.

Weltron,Akai,Panasonic and Pioneer are good reliable brands for 8-track players. Stay away from Sears and Sound Design though, they'e garbage.

I see some cool ones on eBay now...

http://www.ebay.com/sch/8-Track-Players ... 037/i.html

Mine is a Panasonic. Also be on the lookout for any Iron Maiden 8-tracks. The first three albums were made on 8-track and go for high prices. They're the holy grails of 8-track collecting, imo.

Also when buying tapes off eBay,always make sure they were tested beforehand. I bought some which ended up to be defective. Happy collecting! lol :)

Interesting fact about this album which alot of people don't know about....

Only 4 of the tracks on this album (Wicked Woman, F.U.C.K., Portrait, and Pact With Lucifer) are band originals, but the rest were written by someone named James Vincent(credited as Jim Donlinger on the album) who was the lead guitarist of the late 60's psych band Aorta.

I just got an even better 8-track player lately also! I am now the proud owner of an Aquatron 8-Track player, one of the best!!!

The Aorta s/t is really good blue-eyed psychedelic soul from Chi-town circa 1969. I have the CD. An OG LP is prolly close to impossible to find.
