Dio's best vocal and lyrical performance. Blackmore's most realized proto-Neo-Classical Hard Rock statement. Hand-picked musical hired guns that clicked with these sessions and remains streets ahead decades after the fact. For better or for worse, this LP is a harbinger of Progressive Metal.
This US 1st pressing LP just crushes the remastered CD. Fuckin' A.........just Fuckin' A.

So glad I got to speak to Bob Daisley a few weeks back again, and he told me Ritchie Blackmore was highly influenced by Hendrix. On a side note,I also asked him also if Randy Rhoads smoked weed before recording and he said yes. Told me this was one of Randy's go to albums along with Uriah Heep.

Anyways Stargazer is one of the best songs ever recorded in all of music history. Cozy Powell kicked ass.
