I had this on tape in high school... courtesy of my dad, naturally. It was one thing to be into Hendrix and Floyd, but cranking this at 16 was about as far as you could get from the Fugees and Royal Crown Revue and whatever everybody else was into then. It was raw, hypnotic, stoned out stuff. Plodding bass, clattering drums, buzzing guitar. It was drawing a line in the sand, to some extent. |
