My dad gave me this record the other day because he had two copies. Didn't even remember much about it himself except the guy had a connection to the Allmans. I took the liberty of looking it up and found that he had played guitar on "Ramblin Man" and "Jessica" and also dated Cher after she was done with Gregg Allman. Not only that, he played on a few Steve Miller albums, such as Fly Like An Eagle.

As for the album itself, it's pretty sweet. Has nasty guitar, naturally, in the southern rock Allman Bros. style. And it is late 70s, so it has a lot of funky rhythm to it. Reminiscent of Rick Derringer or Edgar Winter in that respect, the white soul boogie side of things. Even Clapton at times. Bonus points for having Carmine Appice on drums for the majority of the album.

Anyone familiar with his other solo stuff? Couple albums before this one.
