Great album. Sometimes when this thing gets running I forget sometimes and think I'm listening to Santana circa the same era. Not necessarily the same vibe going down all the time, but there are some real similarities, too.

Gregg Allman is my favorite vocalist of all-time. Best.voice.ever.

Live at the Fillmore East may be the greatest live album of all time, for classic rock bands. Dickey & Duane were on fire for this album.

A great band.

I dismissed the ABB for years as not being heavy enough. Sometime in the 90s I gave Live At Fillmore a second chance and realized my foolishness. Love this album and while I usually have my doubts about Deluxe Editions, this one really outclasses the original. Ludlow is great too.

Every couple of years I drag my lazy ass with a few friends to their annual stop @ Mansfield MA. Every time I go I think "Why didn't I go last year? Why don't I do this every year?" If you haven't seen them live I would recommend catching before they retire. A real spiritual experience, even with Dickie gone.
