1967/ one of the truely unsung bands of the early psychedelic age. while the dead and the like were doing there versions of a mellower psychedelia the watchband was trashing out a kinda early punky garagey harder edged version of it. never had a hit record but were featured in the psychploitation movie riot on sunset strip.singer relly sounds like mick jagger at times but the music is fantastic, exp the instrumental dark side of the mushroom. great classic psychedelic lp covers on all the lps. couple more lps followed some not even having any members of the original on some of the songs. but worth tracking down all of em, grounbreaking stuff for 67, to bad they never got their due at the time

Terrence, you're right on about this band !

They did a beautiful version of 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue'.
'Let's Talk About Girls' has some great psychedelic guitar parts /studio effects. Those who haven't heard it should definitely check it out.
They have many other interesting songs, too.
Their main singer does sound a lot like Mick Jagger (in a good way).

The Chocolate Watchband was a very cool Garage/Psych band all the way around.
