Nice album here by Dickey Betts. Released by Capricorn, 1974's Highway Call was co-produced by Betts and Johnny Sandlin. Features Dickey's instantly recognizable voice and guitar. First side is songs with vocals whereas the second side is instrumental (bluegrass). First side is great and the second side too which really shows off the excellent musicianship of the guys who backed Dickey in the album. Some of the names are Chuck Leavell on piano, Vassas Clements on fiddle, and John Hughey on steel.
A great album, great guitarist, and great showman. He can still slay on the guitar. Shoulda never been kicked outta the Allman Brothers.
