Any thoughts on this? I'm checking it out now. it's not awful, but it is teh usual re-recording trick... everything the same plus a bit of unnecessary overblown shit (solo's, feedback, too clean instruments) that detracts from the quality of the essence of the original.

Nah, the re-recorded re-issue. I could bag on Manowar, overall, too but I'll admit I like the original Battle Hymns okay and a few selections from other albums.

Caught them live on their very first tour opening for Travers & Nugent and thought they were a trip.

I've said it before but I'll say it again - I'm jealous as hell you got to see that triple bill.

I'm not that big on this record to begin with, prefer the second album, but the reissue is to me unnecessary if you own the original.

I wonder if they'll start remaking all their tapes. I'd love to hear an updated version of the intro to "Warlord" from Into Glory Ride.

Get Charlie Sheen to re-narrate "Defender" or that old man story from Kings of Metal.

I'd like for them to release Into Glory Ride with the intro from Warlord cut altogether. Ruins that fucking album...
