 Post subject: Flatwounds for acoustic Bass?

Is this possible? I realize there would be almost no sustain, but I wonder if it would sound thumpier/upright?

it probably would give you more of an upright vibe, but having played an upright for awhile..and it was a beast to play, i can tell you nothing replicates that sound.
the huge hollow body, the fretless neck..its great. i wish i had the time to dedicate to get proficient at it. i ended up giving it up and sticking with my electric bass. just the strength and stamina needed to play was unbelievable. the neck is like a baseball bat.

what i did get out of it was something was unlocked in my brain going from a horizontal position on the electric to a vertical playing position on the upright..i cant quite explain it but it changed the way i approached my electric after that..
