I managed to pay off this badboy the other day and noticed that the store had labelled it as an OR120, but I think it's an ORS100 or a GRO100 judging by the Orange Amp Field Guide. The model number and serial number don't look like they've been scratched off or painted over, almost like none was ever put on. Any thoughts? I'm also kind of skeptical of the tech from the store who worked on it when a fuse blew/power light wouldn't turn on after 45 minutes of playing. Is this like any other regular vintage amp or should I look around town for an old British guy who knows his electronics?

That's a nice amp. It just looks like an old "graphic" OR120 to me, I could be wrong. The older ones just had the graphics over the knobs.

I would agree with Mr Thomas, I guess they re-issued this amp some time, I thought these amps were the first ones Orange built independently from Matamp.

That it is an original from the 70's you can tell by certain specs. The AC jack seems to be new, I'm not sure if they had tube ventilation back then, probably the tubes/valves and some caps have also been replaced.
The transormers look good, they're waxed and I'm not sure if they do that anymore.

I have a similar problem with a Marshall Major concerning the fuse, when you play it over a certain volume, 4 or so, it blows it out. Haven't had the chance or money to check or fix that yet.

Edit:

Ah, are these 6CA7's?
I would push in the tubes better, the left one looks kinda off.

That is a pix only OR120, definitely.

Note; The bass clef (indicating the bass control, obvs) is backwards. Orange put this graphic on all their amps for years before anyone noticed they were doing it wrong.
