I want to play metal on the street. I am looking for something loud enough and I want to get some distortion. I don't really know where to start. Anyone got some suggestions?

The Roland Cube and the Pignose are two amps that I can think of that have battery power features, but in order to get more volume tan that, you would have to make some sort of battery powered generator/power supply, or just get a little baby gnerator.

Would you be playing with a full band, or something smaller? To get over drum levels with a real kit and real sticks, you will need a bit more than the battery powered ones.

Me and my buddy took a 15" car bass subwoofer and Car Stereo amplifier powered off one of them 12 volt jump boxes, it was pretty damn loud and very thick!

Dinger and I went to downtown Northampton back in the day with a radio shack passive mixer attached to a battery powered, old school, giant boom box thing. It was plenty loud, and unfortunately, you now need permits to play music on the street. ha!

Well, you can be a bum on the streets around here and noone gives a fuck. People will give you money too, whether you're a bum or playing music as if there's no difference. Permits sound like some east coast hipster shit or maybe the occupy people fucked shit up for you.

Btw, the roland minicube sounds awesome!
