There's nothing wrong with specifics--I thought this guy's requirements were pretty decent for a guy who's most likely motivated to get something done. I can relate. My problem has always been finding that good blend of someone who has decent skills, good motivation/ dedication, is decent with making deadlines. And then the person has to be someone that you can hang around with when you put the instruments down. People sometimes misconstrue my vision as being exclusionary, but really, if people could show up, get things done and learn how to tune a guitar, they'd be a part of it. Literally, none of the guys i've jammed with have gone onto anything....they're still dreaming and still playing in their basement or wherever. Which is a shame, because either they were awesome dudes on a personal level that were completely forgetting half of the chord changes to songs, or they were hotheads who couldn't get along with people, though they could nail the songs no problem.
That's the best sum up of people: the good guys who just aren't that good and the assholes who are that good. I fall somewhere in between it I can learn the song but depending how long the jam session, if over 2 hours, then I can definitely learn it but not a 100%. Hency why I can understand hesitation for people wanting to bring me on, that and I did 'sell-out'.
