Greetings All,
I have just got around to perfecting my perfect Doom/Stoner tone with my Fender and wanted to get some feedback.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... D=10479619

My main goal is to get something heavy yet smooth at the same time. One of my biggest Tone Gods is Victor Griffin (Pentagram, Place of Skulls) - and this is what I'm gunning for.

It's just some off the cuff riffing, recorded direct. Certainly appreciate ANY feedback - and if anyone fancies doing any online collaboration for this kind of thing, I'm all over it.

Cheers,

-Riff

The tone sounds pretty cool, but it's kind of hard to evaluate tone out of context. What sounds fantastic by itself can sound a lot different with a full band in the mix.

ken from sons of otis plays a strat and gets some crushing tone from his oxfuzz pedals. dont let the single coils deter you from thinking you can get a heavy tone from a strat. i play one too and use a turbo rat that is honestly too much at the high volumes sometimes.
