It is, but the GAS never ends, I just sold it. Going to try the Rothwell Love Squeeze next. We'll see how that works, the Forest Green is definitely awesome and I would likely go back to it if the Love Squeeze doesn't work out, or maybe the Diamond Bass Compressor....

I don't understand how people step over pedals and not break any knobs... I did that shit for a while and bent so many pots. I started playing without shoes...

then I just got a huge guitar case sized pedalboard.

I know what you mean, the pedals in my back row are either on or off for the entire song that way no gymnastics are required. I can barely walk and play at the same time much less try and he a half inch target.

Apologize for the shitty picture and yes, I do not have a board for this. It's not much but it gets the job done for the time being.

I should probably sell the wah that I bought from a member here, it's not bad, it's just I hardly ever use it.

With all due respect, I don't think that it gets too much better than the Forest Green (damn near a modern holy grail of sorts, IMHO), so you may be disappointed in the rest of your search. Haven't used the Rothwell Love Squeeze so I can't comment on that, but if money isn't an issue, i'd got a Maxon CP-9 not too long ago, and it is super transparent (uses a DBX circuit, very quiet too). I'd recommend checking that out if you want something that doesn't color the signal almost at all, and for something that's extremely low noise, as well--it converts 9V to 18V for cleaner headroom. The only downside is that for guys that like alot of color from a compressor (to taste, of course), if you're not happy with the tone going in, you probably won't like the tone coming out.

Pro Guitar Shop did a really good demo of it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG8ZEFr4EzQ

Some guys really like the Diamond Compressor, too--haven't used it, but it seems to really be unanimous across the board for love. I can't remember the last time i've seen a Maxon CP-9 or Diamond Compressor up for sale.....I think that guys get to that point and if they're unsatisfied, they just give up playing guitar if that shit doesn't work for 'em, heh heh.

^^^ That's a really good one. I like most of what i've heard from all of those 10 series Ibanez pedals.

It's one of those pedals, when you turn it on, you don't know it's on, but if you turn it off... you think "The fuck is going on with my tone?!"

I love it. the Forest Green was sold for some reason. Should have kept it.

Heh, no doubt!

The Forest Green has more market/ resale value than the CP10 (the CP10 being an awesome bargain as are all those 10 series pedals....check out the SF10 Swell Flanger!), so the Forest Green likely had a bigger target painted on it's back for you. It's weird.....some of the pedals that i've kept the longest have been the cheapest ones. I now use pretty high end shit like a Fuchs Valve Job and BK Butler Real Tube, but honestly, the el cheapo Bad Monkey is incredibly good (and it's survived multiple purges), and my Ibanez FZ-7 fuzz probably won't ever be sold because I really like it, and it's not actually worth anything but maybe $15-$20 bucks in resale. Sometimes if you get nearly nothing in resale, it forces you to keep it.....if you're only gonna get 20 bucks in resale, it's like, fuck, it's not even worth it to list it.

the only complaint I had about the Forest Green was at higher compression settings the attack got too muffled, so I thought I would give the Love Squeeze a try, should be here in a day or two. The Maxon is on my list too. But I may end up going with the Aguilar TLC. I think I may have to bite the bullet and get something with an "attack" control.

I got to try out the fuzz pedal on my board a lot over the tour with Stone Axe, I used Tonys (Stone Axe) hot plate to get my amp driving harder and used the fuzz as well, then just used my volume knob to clean up the sound if I needed to. The tone was awesome, a real old late 60's kind of sound, I'll get some of the live recordings and put those up.

Can here it a bit at the start of this video but then the sound goes strange:

^^sounded pretty cool until the audio went bad

This is what I generally use. Often there is only one fuzz besides the big muff. It's a modded & re-housed black russian, btw. I just revamped the fuzz rite clone, so it's getting some more use. The silver pedal is my meathead clone.

Wow, so many pedals...I'm a total luddite when it comes to effects, just a Boss V-Wah and a Boss tuner straight into my Marshall.
