Anyone got one? Been salivating over one for a while but haven't found a user to get some feedback on them, specifically whether they're worth the prices. Particularly interested in the ring modulator.

They're pretty cool--i've never owned one, but have played a couple. I really like the phaser, though at some point it almost makes me get back to a Phase 90 or Small Stone mentality of "gimme one great sound instead of a whole bunch that I won't find any practical use for". The options are great, but it's the price that's a double edged sword--I feel that to get my money's worth, I have to find some sort of use for all those crazy sounds, but I don't tend to find much practical use for most of 'em anyways.....

I have a Murf, the MF-105 (not the midi version). It's a highly adjustable resonant filter, and past that, it's difficult to define what it does. It's a cool quirky little thing, but I'll probably sell it in a few more months. I'm planning to record some keys and guitar tracks through it. Anyway.. worth $300? I don't think so. Cool to have though if you can find a deal.

I had kind of figured as much. I was thinking specifically of the MF-102.

I used to own the ring modulator and the phaser with two expression pedals. Ended up trading both for a bassman head. These pedals taught me one thing, simplicity is king. The phaser was too goddamn varied, it was almost frustrating. Picked up a Phase 90 and was much happier. Turn the knob to one setting and done. The ring modulator was interesting but basically a one trick pony and boring after a few weeks of use, not worth the money unless your a noise musician.

I love the ring mod. I can find all kinds of uses for that thing.

Ring modulators in general have their uses here and there, but i've always used them moreso for maybe an outro or maybe a weird 10 second noise break after a bridge in a song or something like that. I've never been able to justify having any expensive ring mod based on how little I use it, so the one in my old Boss ME-30 usually does the trick. I mean, it's intended to purposely make your playing sound like shit, so the less spent on that the better, I think, hahaaa.

I love the ebow plus that I have. Don't use it enough probably, but some sweet tricks can be done with that in combination with other fx pedals.

Moogerfoogers!

EBows are awesome. I've got the grey version that was sold +10 plus years back or so.....still have the cassette demo of it that demonstrated all the cool things that you could do with it.
