It took me a long time to come around to giving this one a listen because i didn't want the metal masters to let me down…. again. But I'm here to tell ya, this album is fucking killer.

Everything you want from a Priest album is there; the riffs, the pounding beat, the metal god screams, and most surprisingly, the song structure. You can hear elements of all the best Priest albums. If I had to state an album from their catalogue that it most closely resembles, I would have to say "Defenders Of The Faith". Great breakdowns and crescendos. Some of it is a little cliche, but really, how many bands have been lifting their style these last two decades.

Yes, a terrible album cover, but their best album since Painkiller. No, better than Painkiller. Give it a listen.

It's a bit Manowar (battle hymn) campy...the sing-songy cadence.

I do like the chorus here though, and I appreciate Faulkner not just blindly shredding.
