From Space Age Cheesecake (Label):

The first release on the micro label Space Age & Cheesecake Records is a ..7".. vinyl split featuring Yawning Sons and Waterways.
Yawning Sons is the unique collaboration between the US legendary desert rock act 'Yawning Man' and pioneering UK instrumentalists '..Sons of Alpha Centauri..'. Working with experimental ambience and dreamy passages the quintet curate extended progressive jams and create a new spiritual plane to immerse into next organic extension post debut album 'Ceremony to the Sunset'. Featuring all four members of '..Sons of Alpha Centauri..' on their respective instruments, 'Gary Arce' lays his distinctive and emotive lead tones to the underlying unmistakable grooves of SOAC recorded by the hometown tides of 'Sheerness on Sea'. This exclusive track developed, as part of the 'Garden Sessions' has been re-recorded, expanded and multi layered for this dedicated vinyl release.
WaterWays is the culmination of three desert rock forefathers and best friends. 'Gary Arce' on guitar is the original founding member of progressive jam masters 'Yawning Man' and has been the hidden hand behind the 'Palm Desert Scene'. 'Mario Lalli' is more than just a name and more of an institution. In this new incarnation Mario is on bass with another perfect demonstration of his and Gary's song writing prowess. From 'Desert Sessions' to 'Fatso Jetson' Mario comes from a rich history of bands including 'Across the River' & 'Orquesta del Desierto'. 'Tony Tornay' has played drums in Fatso Jetson since year dot and in 'WaterWays' Tony lays down thick slabs of chilled dreamy rhythms known exclusively to 'WaterWays' as 'aqua-beat'! This aqua beat surf rock is the ultimate alter ego to 'Nomadic Pursuits' so soak yourself in the sound of 'WaterWays' and then dry out to the chilled sunshine vibes of 'Yawning Sons' on this ultra cool piece of US / UK instro-desert vinyl. Presented by upcoming European wax specialists 'Space Age & Cheesecake Records' on aqua-blue heavy ..7".. vinyl and mastered at 'Abbey Road Studios' in London.
