New-ish doom band from Sweden. They understand the essence of doom, and maintain it all the way through the album while using some nice deviations like piano and choral pieces.

On their first album they employ simple, introspective piano-based passages and have one track on here "Noah's Hands" that is a full-on choral performance which initially interests with it's similarity to the Blackadder theme (seriously) before you realise it has a beautiful medieval ambience of it's own.

Special mention must go to the powerful and genuinely emotive vocal performance from Thomas Eriksson which really takes it all to a higher level. The minimal drumming is perfect for this kind of music, simple and restrained, does it's job of dragging the almost funereal pace along. This minimalism and respect for the over-all mood is carried by all the instuments and song structure is always number one priority. Highly recommended.
