Shit, man, I saw you get walked out. I didn't see anything worth them getting worked up about. WTF? I've been to much rowdier shows there, too. Bummer about the 86 as YOB was pretty dialed in. Great show.

Cheers, man. Next time you see me, introduce yourself. I'll get the pints in. Maybe the Dante's Security Pricks didn't like my fake British accent?!? heh.
Watched the rest of the show from the door in the drizzle in tr00)) DOOOM style. Fuck 'em.

Nice work! Cheers!

Updated.

Like cyberspaceship posted, the Sabertooth Fest is apparently a "thing" now. It'll be kind of nice to have something like that dropping here in the middle of Winter regularly going forward. Especially nice to see King Black Acid popping up on recent bills too!

The biggest news for me is the KILLING JOKE US tour with The Soft Moon!!! Hopefully, they don't bail out on it in the last minute like they have a couple other times before...

A message from the current Ash Street booker tonight:

Allow me to quell any misconceptions before they become foolish rumor.
Ash Street is going to be a venue for more than two full years. Our lease is up in early 2018, at which time it will cease to be a venue (but may continue in an as-yet-determined venture).
That means we have TWO FULL YEARS left to host rock, punk, hip hop, metal, indie, folk, soul, surf, jazz, comedy, community, activism, PORTLAND. We all become Dead Memories eventually, but few have the opportunity to see the finish line well before the race is over. We do. We've been doing it here with a variety of music, bookers, employees, stages and economies for nearly 21 years.
The point today being this: we have 28 months or so to make the best fucking memories you haven't had yet. We are not even close to being done. And talking about death is boring, anyway, when you're too busy trying to LIVE.
Come see a show, come play a show, support independent business, and support your community. That's what we do.
And it's what we're doing for a while longer, so let's get to it.

Nice message. While it is one of my all-time favorite rooms in this town, the booking there has been very spotty with a very few bright spots in the last dozen or so years. It has been a venue that has put a priority to serving PBR to the dumbfucks of the city and/or tourists over hosting quality music. Cannot feel sorry for them. I've probably seen LESS shows there between 2004-2015 as I did between 2000-2003, so it's been a dead venue to me already. Gotta roll with these punches PDX...

Bädr Vogu from Oakland is coming back up to PDX in November; Nov. 20, Panic Room.
--didn't see it on the list, but they're my favorite band so, guess I'd know about it.

Anyone know if Elder is playing with Spirit Caravan and Mos Generator at Dantes in 11/5? It is listed in Elders Facebook page but not on Dantes calendar...

Early update, as I'm going to be leaving town for a couple of weeks. A couple of fests have announced early lineups; Festicide (multiple venues) and Hesh Fest (Dante's).

Some cool news! The Know (whose Alberta St. lease expires at the end of November) will be moving into the old Blackbird spot! Good for me because I like this space a whole lot better and it's only one hood away (and walkable) from where I'm at right now. Yeehaw!
