ANCIENT VVISDOM ANNOUNCE UK TOUR DATES WITH AUDREY HORNE, SAHG
Having just completed an extensive North American tour alongside Enslaved, Pallbearer and Royal Thunder, Texas-based dark acoustic rockers ANCIENT VVISDOM have announced plans to return to the UK in support of their acclaimed sophomore release "Deathlike." There, the band will support Norwegian rockers Audrey Horne (featuring members of Enslaved, Sahg and Deride); Sahg rounds out the bill. Tickets are now available on SeeTickets.com.
NY Times magazine described "Deathlike" as "entrancingly powerful" while comparing its "churning, dark, skeletal songs" to "Metallica's late-career balladry" and "the folky grunge of Alice in Chains." The album scored an 8/10 rating from Decibel Magazine, who praised its "big, memorable choruses" and "evocative and emotional melodies." It was recorded in the band's hometown of Austin at Diamond Factory Studios (Mammoth Grinder, Phobia) while being mixed and mastered by Jason Buntz (Jet, The Darkness,...Trail of Dead) and Jack Control.
After wrapping up their current U.S. tour with Royal Thunder, ANCIENT VVISDOM will next be seen featured on several showcases at the annual South by Southwest Festival, including performances alongside acts such as Clutch, Orange Goblin and several more.
