Solace's A.D. has just received the nod for "Metal album of the year" and Gozu was selected as one of the "Best New Rock artists of the year" by Itunes!

Well, naturally, A.D. is now racking up negative reviews from metal fans claiming it's "not metal" and shouldn't get the top spot. Probably were hoping for the new Disturbed album to catch the nod.

It doesn't really say anything, just a grid of the albums they selected. Monster Magent, The Sword, Kylesa, Spiritual Beggars, High On Fire, Unearthly Trance, Electric Wizard, Hour Of 13, Cathedral & the Melvins are also on the metal list. Not bad representation for "stoner rock" out of 20 albums selected, even if some are arguably not metal.

Congrats to Small Stone, I just listened to Goza on the way to work, I love it.

I actually know the guy that runs the rock, metal and alternative pages at i-tunes. He makes those lists and he's a big stoner and underground guy.
