this time jerusalem got on stage a quarter past 9 pm. maybe they were non drunk as last live or maybe they were in panic for being an opening act for a piece of history of music larger than juppiter and saturn tied toghether, wel they did a sandblasting live, hurring up their 4 songs to keep attention on them as long as possible. goo(d) job.
secnd show on stage blaak heat shujaa from paris, relenting the mood, calming people, sitars on the go, jast to make you sit down, close your eyes and put your head on a lover's breast ( we hope). Iìve spent all the concert eating something with sausages and mushrooms, but they were porcini, son I could't unleash any kind of Hallucination ( sob...) after an hour of heat and sleepy music, the main event.
Yawning Man has a new line up because of a , ehm, quitting of Alfredo Hernandez for personal motivations.
they ignored the simple concept od a sound check ( because they can) and gave us alla an hour ( I wished two, but midnight turns the place into a lamplight for cops with fees for night disturbance...) of one finger, no plecrtum, no panic ( I'm a lyar there have been moments of panic on stage for some of the new songs, but, guys, I would sign a contract with satan for such a panic moment!)
laly is a wonderful bass player. wonderful.
the guitar lines are dreamy and this new drummer is an imperial steam hammer! when do they get again near my house? oh, so late.....

this is a rightful addenda due to the obscure reality of the fact that we are a MAFIA
Branislav Ruzicic
live report
A stormy Monday came upon Villanuova on 20th June!
Yawning Man and Blaak Heat Shujaa visit the little village near Brescia for last Italian date of their tour.

Introducing the show are the local fuzzers Thy Mu mixing prog elements with a typical stoner rock '90s style. After them, is Manthra Dei to be on stage for an instrumental and sonic trip that left everyone fleshed up. Mario Lalli also appriciated their performance and let himself go in a Grateful Dead-oriented jam with the guys.
Blaak Heat Shujaa are not a so easy band to understand. Very groovy, extremly trippy and extended, but without the dynamic and aggression that has on recordings. Love for details and cure for sound belong to this band, but on the other hand they are less immediate that their mates on Monday night!

Yawning Man did what everyone expected them to do, but no-one expected that they can do it so well. Gary Arce created the atmosphere and the setting background for the hammer drumming of Bill Stinson (excellent sobstitute of Alfredo Hernandez) and the hypnotc-bass work from Mario Lalli, godfather of desert rock.
Great attitude, voulmes higher and higher and more than one hour of oniric trips that brought Aerosol in Villanuova from Palm Desert to Saturn and back.

thanks so much for alla to Branislav for being a friend
