Really really enjoyable show, small place, small crowd.
also a really poor review:
Opening band The Burning (something) were pretty good. Some thrashy parts, screamed vocals, not groundbreaking, but enjoyable.
Blackbeard were bad. Sludge mixed with Hardcore, neither done very well.
Atlas Moth were fucking amazing, if you're hitting up this tour, get there early enough to see these guys. An immense wall of sound.
Howl. Mean, tight, and heavy. Good shit. They opened with heavenless, the rest of the setlist was all 'full of hell', but they did not play the last song. Don't recall specific songs otherwise.
Red Fang - Played as a 3 piece. Evidently Brian had a family emergency, and had to return to Portland. They had some sound trouble, but were really fun. Much more garagey as a live 3 piece than a studio 4 piece. They covered Dust's "Suicide"
Kylesa - Lots of sound guy issues. Vocal levels, and mix were horrible. Very disappointed after how good they were last time I saw 'em, band seemed disappointed too. Just songs off Static Tensions & Spiral Shadow.
Crowbar - Killed. Such heavy and intense music from the nicest group of guys. Patrick is one of the friendliest and outgoing guys you'll run into. 2 songs off the new one, and a mix of other albums. Planets Collide was EPIC!
Saint Vitus - top notch as well. Played the new song, and clear windowpane...all I can remember right now, sorry. had to take a bathroom break, and didnt want to push back up front, sorry...no pics worth sharing.
Helmet - we left before they came on. but they soundchecked Exactly What You Wanted (i think). sounded like a helmet cover band. not worried about missing 'em
