Caught the pilot. Pretty good. Sort of like Mad Men in the early 70's and in the A&R business instead of advertising....and if it were directed by Scorsese. Bobby Cannavale is a really strong lead and a surprising cameo from Andrew Dice Clay.

I will show you the life of the mind.

I loved this show man. Fuck HBO for canceling it. And people for not watching it as well I guess.

Wow, I watched this (late) over last Summer and was looking forward to a second season. Didn't realized HBO reversed their decision until I saw Mastodonkey's post and looked it up myself!

Overall, it was good, but not great? I'd give it a B or B-. I think it should have been better with Marty and Mick Jagger at the helm? I thought it LOOKED great, in that they nailed that era in NYC. I think my favorite episode was the Elvis one in Vegas where Richie pisses away the company's fortune in Vegas and blames it on the Ray Romano character getting robbed by whores.

Hard to believe that HBO would slam the door on ANYTHING Martin Scorsese, but I guess it goes to show how far Hollywood thinks his star has fallen and its time for him to hang it up.
