Any love for this movie?

I actually enjoyed it despite what some people who don't know shit about Superman say. The chemistry between Lois and Supes, was a bit... off. And I was kind of hoping that he would find the ship when he was younger, and spend some time learning. Showcasing that he is actually a pretty intelligent guy. But they sort of jumped into him being Superman pretty quickly.

Even with the faults though, it was fun. Was it pure destruction porn? I don't think so. But when you have Kryptonians fighting, shit is going to get messed up, and when they did it was fun.

The Batman vs Superman movie as a sequel makes sense. Batman/Superman were friends before the League was formed. It could be a pretty good movie depending on how Affleck plays Batman.

I didn't mind it. It was better than Superman Returns. I thought the it was trying too hard at times to be being the Superman equivalent of Batman Begins. It was a bit humourless for me. Still, generally I would give it a thumbs up.

That whole final beat-em-up scene was way too generic. And it had the emotional gravity of my children trashing the play room.

Still, apart from that and the idiocy of General Zod terraforming a planet that gives them super powers into a planet that does not, it was a fun movie.

It's understandable why he would want to terraform. He's genetically programmed to protect his people as they are, and not make them super powered beings. Which is why he was against Jor-El in the first place.
