Horror thriller comedies, documentaries, whatever as long as its decent. It doesn't have to be mind-blowing.
Foreign is fine, I will watch with their terrible dubs.

I recently found "High Lane" that was standard horror but well done.
"Buried" is a little more well-known but it was great. I love minimal, claustrophobic settings though.

Little Otik seems insane so thanks.

I've heard about Pontypool for awhile. Need to check that out.

"Bustin down the door"

Great surf doc about the Aussies ripping the North Shore in the 70s and early 80s. One of my favorite docs on Netflix.

Wild Target. Really funny British comedy about an assassin (Bill Nighy) that fails to kill his target and gets sucked into hijinks with Emily Blunt and Rupert Grint, both of which give great comedic performances throughout. Also has Martin Freeman in a supporting role.

Yes. On both accounts.

More rec's:
Trollhunter (documentary crew looks for trolls), Monsters (drama about aliens), Moon (guy working "alone" on the moon), Cabin Fever (college kids get diseased in the woods), Antichrist (uh...), Hesher (metal guy fucks shit up), Wizards (1977 animated hippie good vs evil version of LOTR). If you like puzzles or confusing plots, I also recommend Primer.

"Drive" starring a dreamy-as-always Ryan Gosling.

I can vouch for Trollhunter. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Then again my grandfather did have a few troll tales for me when I was younger.

That was extremely fun to watch. Definitely a great flick for those who aren't square (it's quirky and subtitled).

Trollhunter is fun.
Moon was awesome.
Hesher wasn't as good as i wanted it to be.

Watched Rubber the other night. It's about a discarded car tire that comes to life, and kills people with its "mind." Very enjoyable, and silly.

not sure what im gonna watch tonight, but timecrimes seems to be the leading candidate.
