I don't know if there are too many of you who are fans of In the Loop and The Thick of it. If you haven't watch those things, I strongly suggest that you do.

On to this show. Same vein as his previous shows (docu-style, political cynicism, fuck loads of "fucks") but the main character isn't as ruthless as Malcolm Tucker. I think too many people are going to compare it to the Office or Parks and Recreation, but I think it's closer to the Larry Sanders Show. More of a comedy of errors.

Yeah, I am planning on checking this out...as best I can tell the writing seems pretty sharp...we'll see how it fares in the long run, but I'm a sucker for this sort of thing.

I love Buster, Elaine, and that girl from 'My Girl.'

Only watched the first episode but I'll go back for more...I laughed out loud a few times, and I am a fan of that breakneck dialogue style. I also can't resist gratuitous profanity, according to my wife.

Yeah, I'm digging this one as well, and the solid, profanity-laden dialogue is definitely a big part of why. The frozen yog(h)urt thing in last night's episode was solid the whole way through, and I like the more competent Selena in this episode rather than the more bumbling one in the pilot. Best face was when the senator dude was talking about some guy fisting himself, and sick Gary (or Buster) was great as well.

One thing I like about this last episode is that the whole episode is a joke.

If the President gets bad heartburn, it's defcon 4.
If the Vice President shits herself from a stomach flu, nobody really cares.

It's weird, the more I think about the show, the more I find certain moments funny. Even if I didn't giggle at the moment I was watching it. I think its because the dialogue goes by so fast I lose track of who is saying it. The White House staffer guy is a super funny character; a sycophant with a hint of power.

And folks, please watch The Thick of it. If profane poetry is your bread and butter, this British comedy will be well within your tastes. It's on YouTube....eh?

Well, I don't know about y'all but this show gets better with every episode. I went back and watched some of the previous episodes and they're still plenty of laughs.

She's got Emmy buzz around her for Veep. Totally deserved. Her meltdowns are fucking hilarious.

yeah I'm hooked...but I always wait a few days after the first airing to watch an episode...I can't switch from Thrones to Veep mode that fast.

The season premiered tonight. Bravo, I must say.

This show is probably just as good on rewatch too. When I resubscribe to hbo I'm rewatching all these. Power through Thornes and Veep's new seasons and done till next year.

Honestly, it's one of those shows that get better on second viewing.
