I never thought I'd ever enjoy a nowadays MTV show again, what with the tons of bullshit programming that channel puts out. But this one's actually pretty damn good. Basically it's Reno 911 meets monsters. Yes it's cashing in on both the vampire/werewolf Twilight craze as well as the zombie craze, but at least it parodies both to a large extent (not that any zombie related material worth a damn isn't a parody of itself already) and unlike so much other comedy on TV nowadays it's actually funny. And the fact that Tania Raymonde (Lost's Alex Rousseau) stars in it doesn't hurt one bit. Don't get me wrong, it's no The Wire and it's no Community, but it's definitely watchable. |
