I saw this last night. It's an unsettled and tense horror/thriller movie about a guy having crazy visions and dreams about what seems to be the end of the world, and his attempts to protect his family from, essentially, nothing. Considering how slow it was getting around to the faintest hint of a conclusion, it was quite a good movie.

It's one of those that rely on mystery and viewer self-discovery, so watch out for spoilers when reading anything user-contributed on these links. The trailer is spoiler city.

As an aside, I grew up with ASL, so I expected to be pissed off at a bullshit hollywood version of deafness. After the introductory scene of the daughter, the movie didn't overtly pander to non-ASL folks and was actually informative (in the sense of the parents learning/teaching it as the movie went on), which I really appreciate.

great movie..

I liked this one alot. Watched this one and Melancholia and Another Earth within weeks of each other and enjoyed the hell out of the nu-apocalyptic flicks coming out

I haven't seen Melancholia (hate shaky cam) but Another Earth was also great entertainment. These apocalyptic movies that focus on people/feelings/drama rather than action seem like they might get old after a while, but for now they're pretty refreshing.

Yeah, good flick. Great atmosphere, some really creepy moments- and Michael Shannon is awesome.

Melancholia is also really good despite the shaky-cam.
