About 10 people with varying skills (engineer, doctor, marine biologist, handyman, martial artist) are placed in a large urban industrial landscape, and challenged to scavenge food, water, supplies, and then create livable shelter, while being occasionally attacked and looted by other scavengers or living victims of a deadly infectious virus.

Pretty awesome concept, and a pretty intense show. A few episodes in, and they're focusing almost entirely on the science/mechanics/experiment (like building a generator that runs on wood gas instead of gasoline) instead of personal drama.

Got it on DVD from the local video store, but may have watchable episodes on the website.
