I will miss it.

I knew there would be a payoff with the ricin. But i didn't expect it to be so sublime.

Agreed, great ride, enjoyed the series a lot. Minor criticism about the finale is that the last big twists and surprises were dealt out in episode 14 while 15 and 16 were a bit predictable.

I've heard that criticism from people, I would think that when you're finishing out a series, the last thing you want to do is leave the end all twisty. Not saying it CAN'T work doing it that way, but it's not preferable.

I agree. And it wrapped up as "nicely" (as in feel good) as it could have as well. Walt's family ends up with $10 MM (more than he ever dreamed of in the first four seasons; Gus' deal with him was for only $3 MM), Jesse gets his redemption and is freed, all the bad guys die and Walt dies while amongst his invention and admiring his life's masterpiece.

I definitely think the show jumped the shark when the nazi gang showed up. And that's in the literal sense that it wasn't as good as what came before it. It was still mostly an "A" show, but wasn't the "A+" show it was from midway through Season 3, when Walt started cooking for Gus to the point in Season 5 when Mike got killed. Roughly two A+ seasons.

I don't think the Nazi gang would be as jarring if the whole thing was shown as a proper fucking season instead of this splitting it up stuff.

If you haven't seen it already, someone cobbled together clips from the entire story arc of Breaking Bad and synced it to Marty Robbins' "El Paso"

I love it.

Just finished the 5th Season this morning with coffee. Holy shit. Wow. Just wow. The bar has been raised. For the last 2 Seasons, practically every episode was a "Cliff hanger" type dealio. Glad i didn't have to wait.

Co-worker is letting me borrow his The Shield DVD set. I guess that's up next.
