I've been rabid for this show since Season 2.
But the season 7 finale was pretty fuckin weak. I was seriously disappointed they didn't reveal the new boss. Gotta say, I like James Spader's character for the job.

Anyhow, now that Steve Carell's gone.... Parks > Office.

I'm of the opinion that the show should have ended at least 2 seasons ago. I still get the occasional laughs, but the consistency and quality has been lacking for a while. Carell leaving gave them the perfect opportunity to end things, but it seems NBC is content to drag it out.

Spader was awesome, but I think it'd be incredible if Gervais were brought on as manager. I think that, since the show's going to get at least one more season, it'd be a cool way to wind it down and end it.

I agree. Great characters and each episode has a million laughs. I love it when Jean-Ralfio appears. I wonder if there are really people out there that are like him.

I'm glad to hear that Parks gets better. The ol' lady and I have been adding that to our "funny shit to watch after we blaze" and so far it's been "meh."

Office has been on a downhill trend for a while, but still pretty solid. 30 Rock is still pretty solid? I haven't caught any of the new season.

This. The two part finale for season 2 is quite possibly the greatest 40 minutes (or so) of television I have ever seen.
