The first half of the film is presented visually as animation combined with old photographs, while friends and family tell stories about his life at a young age. The later half of the film, while still using elements of this style uses a lot more video footage. The stories of him as a youngster combined with the cut and paste animations were fun to watch. I enjoyed the film, and would recommend it to anyone interested in a bit more background. You've got to admire people who commit to a passion and pursue it from such a young age.

I saw it! Loved it. Hicks was far more cunning, cerebral and charming than get-off-my-lawn George Carlin.
