That Bill Simmons piece nailed it. What a shitter this show turned out to be. No way I'm tuning in for the second season.

More than happy to agree to disagree on this one. I thought the show had a lot of potential, and I was on board for most of the season, but yeah, they lost me along the way. At least there's Breaking Bad coming up in July.

This show is a pile of shit, but I'm piling on at this point. I watched the whole season and I was dead angry by the final three episodes.

I will not be watching this anymore.

for what it's worth, this Falling Skies crap on Sundays isnt worth the dvr space as well. Recorded it, watched it. Deleted it. It's right up with there with Stephen King's worst miniseries.

Just plain bad viewing.

Didn't watch The Killing. Almost want to now, in a masochistic sort of way, but life is too short to waste on shitty TV (list of shitty sci fi series in Netflix queue notwithstanding).

Speaking of which, I gotta agree about Falling Skies. Was an okay enough distraction the other night, but none of it stuck. As the wife said, "It reminded me of Jericho, except it wasn't good at all."

"hmmmmm. I wonder what a sandwich o' shit would taste like?"

Please read the Simmons article before taking a bite. This series was probably the most damaging thing AMC could have ever possibly done to it's brand. And I'm not a guy that thinks Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead are bullet-proof (that would be Mad Men), but I admire the chances/direction AMC has taken with those series.

Read that article, along with Sepinwall's. Can't believe what a dog the show turned out to be, as it was heralded as "Thee Next Great Thing" when it started.

I just spent the past week watching the first season and a half on netflix. I kinda enjoyed it but think getting to watch it in one clean swoop has helped. And agree with Frog, Holder was the best character on that show.
