Now THIS is a funny show.
Great writing, great acting, hilarious topics and it seems to get better and better.

You know, a friend said it was great, so I watched it, but it sucked. This show is barely watchable. It's so lame. Nothing happens and the jokes are pathetic. It's not even kinda funny. Lame.

You have to be kidding.
Sounds like you were watching Seinfeld.

I think the show is awesome, but the first few seasons were better for me. I used to laugh out loud while watching it, but I seem to only lightly chuckle now. I still think it is great, but maybe my taste in comedy has changed.

a friend of mine loved it and gave me the first season to watch. I found there was too much arguing over the top of each other. That drove me nuts. Probably watched 5 episodes and gave up.

That's part of the appeal to me. Especially Charlie when he gets all riled up.

I agree that the last season wasn't as good as the previous ones, but it's still a great show and I look forward to the next season.

That's the key.
Can't watch just one and call it a day.
If you watch a few in a row, you get a better sense of character development and their genius comedic timing. I watched the whole 1st season on DVD. After the first episode I thought it was just weird. After the 4th episode I was laughing my ass off. And that was before Danny Devito joined the cast.

First two seasons are 2 great and when that show was at its peak. I personally think those 2 seasons are classic.

Once Devito came along it's never been the same, imo, but to their credit they did figure out how best to use him after overdoing it that first season with him.

I stopped watching it regularly after season 4. Now when I try to watch the random episode I find it a little harder to get into. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I think you guys are right that this show is best in bunches rather than individually.
