Can't wait for the new season. Seemed to lose it's way for awhile, but the last few episodes of season 3 brought some life back into a very much anticipated new season. I'm thinking this fall? or sooner? no details at all online..

I need to watch this, just so I can be part of the discussion.

Wasn't a big fan of this season, but they wrapped it up pretty well at the end. Looking forward to next year. Seems like they're going to head in a darker direction with the Gemma/Clay/Jax deal. Hope FX does a better job next season of keeping up online. They'd post a couple of episodes, then nothing for a month, then a couple again. Made it hard to follow all the threads coherently.

you know, I caught a few episodes, out of order and didnt expect to be able to figure out what was going on and was right..proceeded to download all 3 seasons and watch them in order and couldnt break myself away from it. gets alittle muddled with the IRA storyline and a few plot lines go awry, but other than that the character development is solid (Katey Segal is spot on)..entertaining and fun stuff.

I started the first season and didn't really got into it - too much tough guy posturing. Might give it another try.

I thought the last season had too much drama and not enough action and tough guy posturing.

Still gonna watch the next season though.

Though eventually it did pick up again; that finale fucking killed. This upcoming season has the potential to be killer.

I can't get into it either. The guy who plays Jax isn't believable at all nor is "monkey man" Ron Perlman as the ring leader.

Katey Sagal however is great.

I'd like to see them scale Jax's 'intensity' level down a bit..yeah, in relation to the tough guy antics and the "They took my son!!!!" every episode. You make it through season 3 and there's a payoff.

I think, like with most series, there's an element of the writers looking back and seeing what they may have mishandled, and hopefully, they bring it back strong.

***SPOILER**(below)

The episode where he sees his son with the adopted couple was an example. I didnt care for how they handled him just walking away after traveling that far and dragging everyone with him. They went for the heartstring and the 'better life' scenario which I thought was very unrealistic.

***SPOILER***

That might have been unrealistic in real life, but in the context of the show it made sense. With what he was reading from his father's journal and his internal conflict with the direction of the club it made sense to me.

***MORE SPOILERS****

Fair enough..I just thought the club had gone through so much trouble and ignited a transcontinental battle to have him get all soft. I was glad to see it turn. The writers seemed to want to make Opie 'the big oaf' that drew sympathy and definitely like the darker, more violent side he turned to. Have a feeling the missing fed may turn up in the next season. They left that one open ended.

I don't recall a missing fed. Maybe I'm forgetting something.

Y'know at times it seems like he is pushing it a lil bit. Everyone else seems to be on one level of character and Jax is way off in "I have to make this REAL"land. Every now and then Ron joins him, but it's not as bad.

I don't remember a missing fed either. Are you talking about the guy from season 1? He's dead.

Ah good point. But that's not really a loose end imo in TV land. There's not going to be anything coming out of that (at least there shouldn't be).

that fed went "off the reservation" and is considered a fugitive if I remember correctly.

Yeah, no loose end with that guy, he'd gotten booted from the ATF before going back to Charming (I remember Stahl saying that to someone..)

S2 was the best so far IMO, for the tough guy biker stuff. I let my attention drift away during the obvious heart-string bullshit; I know it's critical for a TV show but that's not why I watch. S3 was the weakest, but I agree that the last two/three episodes were great. (I had to watch the finale twice and read some blog synopsis' before I grasped everything)

Eager for S4, I believe I read it premieres the first week of Sept.

pretty stoked to see where they go this year. The internal feuding was getting alittle old, hopefully they move on from that. other than that, bring it on.

yeah, I think he got booted or something along those lines..but he was also listed as 'missing' when they last touched base about him. obviously we know what happened to him, I just figured maybe they would close the book on it by the body showing up at some point or someone looking for him.
