Everybody's doing it!

But seriously, vinyl is the pornography of audiophiles and stoner/doom/metal vinyl is nearly at the apex of all that is collectible. i consider research and discussion of record collections time well spent on the web. The rest not so much.

...and if not, then i guess lets let this be the thread for that stuff, but a subforum would be ace!

The good thing about not having any friends (jk, everyone loves me) is that you know the knock on your door is probably the postman delivering sweet vinyl ;)

Double live vinyl, and collectors shirt, of their performance at 'Keep it True' festival last year.

Nothing like white vinyl to fool a poor man into thinking he's a rich man.

Records! It's the new hip thing. Are you in the "In Crowd" or not?!?

No, cassettes are the hip new thing.
I'm not going to buy another tape deck, though. Cassettes suck.

Disagree!!! I have Budgie's first album on cassette and it kicks ass. 8-tracks are higher in bitrate though. I love all formats.

"It may not be a coincidence that the vinyl resurgence in 2008 coincides with the launch of Spotify. In many ways, vinyl is like the print industry. As streaming continues to grow (and change), there will always be a market for the powerful emotional impact of something tangible, especially with a nostalgic tie."

Decade-old trend is "new" trend ITT.
