On Friday afternoon I slid down to the best buy to grab the CD. Just me and some dweeb that was on a mission to find that album too. there must have been an early a.m. rush because they weren't around the CD area. The dweeb was walking with that sort of retard glide. kind of pudgy with a metal t-shirt on. I would guess autistic of some sort, but he had one thing and one thing only on his mind. He was searching, working all the end displays like a driven freak (yeah I can relate) and striking out. After seeing the big hole in the CD display where the metallica CD's USED to be, I decided if mission-boi didn't find them, they aren't out here.
So I asked the salesperson where they are. He said on a display up front and he would get me one. I thanked him...meanwhile, dweeb-on-a-mission was listening in and when the sales dude headed up front, he put it into overdrive glide and totally drafted the sales dude. So instead of waiting for dude to come back, I followed to watch.
I'm glad I asked the dude because he grabbed one for me, and dweeb snatched the last one on the rack and shot to checkout. I was rolling. I would have gotten the last one regardless since the salesdude grabbed it for me. But, dweeb-on-a-mission also scored, so we all won.
oh yeah, the CD. it's fine. 1st listen thru was very nice. they have vinyl too for $29 or w/e, but the 2-CD was $10 so yeah...
edit: hetfield has done a good job of taking care of his voice all these years. "Halo on Fire" is a good example for instance...
