Many years ago I had read somewhere that during the recording sessions for the first Black Sabbath album, several songs that appeared on Paranoid were also recorded but didn't make the cut. These tracks were eventually rerecorded for the Paranoid sessions. Is there any truth to this? If so, are these earlier recordings available somewhere?

Not sure if this is what you're talking about but Amazon has the Deluxe editions of Paranoid and Master Of Reality. Both are 2-disc sets with all the demos, instrumentals, alt versions and such on the second disc. I believe they are also available on vinyl and digitally? I especially love the version of "Lord Of This World" with slide guitar and piano!!! Hope this helps?
