Throw your ideas into the mix. I happen to like the idea of getting the guy from Krokus. But only if he cuts off the stupid pony tail.

The thing is, if they get a new singer, preferrably one that can pull off the Bon Scott songs well. They should at least mix some dusty gem song selections into the set - and the fans will get something new and exciting. They would be idiots not to do that - and it would be unfair to a replacement singer to do the same set as Brian was doing. "Baby Please Don't Go", "Gimme A Bullet" Girls Got Rhythm"
I kinda wanna see a show without Brian johnson actually...

This is the first guy that came to mind, as far as vocal sound. Udo from Accept.

Like Horns, the first thing that came to my mind last week when I heard they were looking for another singer was the guy from Krokus, I think his name is Marc Storachi? I remember when "Long Stick Goes Boom" came out the radio djs were pimping them as an AC/DC substitute, early-mid 80's I believe. Not long after Johnson came into the fold.

I'm in the camp that feels strongly that AC/DC doesn't exist without Bon Scott, so.....

Apparently, They've chosen Axl Rose, at least for the remainder of the tour. Checked a couple of sources just to make sure it wasn't some hoax bullshit.

Of course- Angry Anderson! why didn't I think of him.
I just haven't had Rose Tattoo in rotation for years.

Why the hell wouldn't they get him? Does Angus have dementia now too?

Marc Storace of course. Axl exceeds the height and ego requirements. He's a complete jackass too. Storace had the chance to join the band after Bon Scott's death but Krokus was finally getting their act together at the time, nows the time to get him on board again. I'd bet there's still plenty of Krokus fans from back in the day who would go just to see this. He's been touring with Krokus still, so he's in shape to perform and the world has treated Krokus like a red headed step child since the late 80's, so he's ready this time.

Maybe they should just call it quits. Can't really consider them AC/DC when Scott or Johnson isn't singing, and obviously Scott isn't going to be singing for them anytime soon.

They should get Kip Winger. He has more teeth than most people.

Can't believe they just fired Brian Johnson like they did. He apparently just told them what his doctor said and was going to look into specialists to work his way around the problem but they fired him the day right after the diagnosis. Pretty cold considering their history (hasn't he been in the band like four times longer than Bon was?).

ACDC is pure cool rock metal and the sinister vocal of ALICE COOPER would go hand in hand.

is this the gent who will take over Angus Young, lets hope in 20 years, not now hes still the coolest. Probably in 20 years theyll have an ac/dc-computer-bot band identicle to each band member recording brand new albums in the coolest vein of and sounding 100% exactly like ac/dc.

Axl joining is kind of worst case scenario for the band and their legacy. But while I hold this band personally sacred, I haven't really cared about anything this band has done in the last twenty years or so.

Time to hang it up. But they won't, because Angus wants to play and because they still pack arenas all over the world. To me, it's over. They could get Robert Plant and it wouldn't make a difference.

You can go out on a high note, which they should have done ten years ago before Malcolm went into the home and Rudd got busted and Johnson got fired. Or you can stagger on until the point of self parody.

We had that topic a while ago that was a big argument about whether or not bands should keep playing forever, and I will now reiterate my general disinterest in seeing bands reunite for lame (and often overpriced) oldies tours. I'll admit I've seen and enjoyed a few of them, but I'm never going to be the one knocking on a 60 year old Ian Mackaye's door in the middle of the night begging him to get Fugazi back on tour.

Let it go, like Frozen told you.

I gotta be honest here. But.. you kinda can't fuck with it.

which supports the belief that, Brian Johnson, as great a guy as he is... is the frontman of a band that is SO fucking rock solid musically, that anyone could sing for them. Axl is pretty damn good here. If they were smart, they would mix up the set and add lots of Bpn numbers.

I'll probably get skewered as a sexist or whatever for saying it, but I don't want to hear a girl sing for AC-fuckin-DC.
