Anybody check these guys out? Pretty cool band

Sort of metal meets mid era clutch meets noise meets mad max?

I dig this tune

I got turned on to this band a few years ago by Cosmo Lee when was still at the helm of Invisible Oranges. Helluva band. The noise rock flourishes make them stand out from a lot of the bands they get lumped in with.

Their last album was one of my favs from 2013: https://beastwars.bandcamp.com/album/blood-becomes-fire

Yep. Being from NZ I've seen them a heap of times. All really nice dudes.

They're about to release their third album.

This is my favourite tune...

Just starting to get into these guys. I got "Blood Becomes Fire" and their S/T...Haven't fully digested them yet but like the S/T best so far. Cool band! It's also a plus that a white-haired, old guy with a white beard belts out some sick-ass vocals...as I am one, myself. It reminds me that it's never too late...even though it is...for me. Good shit!

Now that I've had some quality time to listen to these guys, both of these releases are pretty, damn good. "Blood Becomes Fire" is more of a grower. The title track is awesome. Maybe it's just the bass but the music reminds me a lot of Unsane for some reason. These guys, Witchskull and the new Egypt have been the majority of my playlist lately. Good fuckn music!

It is the bass...it's like the bass strings are made out of cable barely holding onto the neck. I hear Unsane too. Put the vocals aside for a moment, and the music reminds me even more specifically of late era Players Club, example below

Dude thanks for this. These albums are sick!

I definitely hear Unsane, but mostly I hear Crowbar.

I hated them at first. But then I saw them in Melbourne, and they fucking crushed it.

Their new record is right on coming off the other two. Has that same killer heaviness and maybe even a little more atmosphere in the groove. I've been digging it.
