Fuck this month and fuck cancer.

To me this one is worse than Lemmy. I'm truly heart broken.

Yep. Gutted. Will be spinnin' Bowie CDs/LPs all this week and next.

It really sucks. I won't lie, I got into him pretty late, my early thirties, but it worked out well for me. Johnny Dark from the old board got me headed in the right direction. I saw him on his last world tour in 2004, before he went into seclusion and it ruled. He was okay with doing a two hour greatest hits package at that point and I had only been a fan a couple of years, so it was all a new experience. rip Thin White Duke.

Me too, I won't lie. Feels pretty weird to be on this planet sans David Bowie and Lemmy. It's like something shifted in the universe when they died.

So sad about this....Bowie was a HUGE influence on my music, and especially how I approach music. I always admired how he was willing to embrace and follow his muses, where ever they may take him.

Losing both Lemmy and Bowie in the span of a few weeks SUCKS.

I haven't been this bummed since Joey Ramone died. I wasn't even a huge Ramones fan, but I felt good knowing they were out there doing their thing seemingly forever. That's basically the way I felt about Lemmy and Bowie. They were around before I was born and I kind of irrationally felt they always would be.

The only positive thing is that they both lived to be pretty old considering their lifestyles and they both left tons of music. We can't say we were robbed.
